What Is The Best Weighted Practice Training Club?

At VGS Golf, we often get asked all of the time "What is the best practice training club to use as a training aid?"

These players are usually looking for more distance and are surprised when they start hitting it straighter as well. After using many different weighted golf clubs with our students, we have found that the best practice training club is Golf Gym's Club 38.

Golf Gym's Club 38 is a weighted club which weighs approximately 2.4 pounds. Unlike many other weighted golf clubs, the weight of the Club 38 has an exclusive design which distributes the weight as it would be in a standard golf club, with half of the weight towards the bottom third of the golf club.

Benefits of this full swing training aid which is the best practice trining club are:

· The weight being in proportion to a standard golf club, the club will give you a realistic feel of what your golf swing should properly feel like.
- You will learn to swing the golf club on the correct path.
· Increased strength which will lead to more distance off the tee and with your irons.
· Improved balance which will also lead to more distance off the tee and with your irons.
· Increased flexibility or range of motion which will lead to more distance off the tee and with your irons.

Why Use A Core Balance Exercise Ball?

To improve my golf game, I have started a golf fitness program at home. As I am trying to put together the exercise equipment that I will need, why do I need a core balance exercise ball?

Congrats on your decision to improve your golf game but more importantly to improve your health! Most core balance exercise balls will come with fitness exercises that you can do on the swiss ball. You can go to TPI.com and find many golf specific exercises to use on an exercise ball.

The reason a core exercise balance ball will help you in your fitness program is that as you do these exercises, you will need to have your core muscles contracted to keep your balance as you do the exercises.

What Is The Best Practice Club?

I was wondering what you thought the best practice club available is to help my full swing. Are these weighted practice clubs any good?

Great question!!! Some are and some are not. I would recomend the GoflGym Club 38. It is approximately 2.4 pounds and although that does not sound like much, it will work you out! It is one of the few clubs that is weighted in porportion to a real golf club. The extra weight will stregthen your golf muscles as well as improve your golf flexibility or range of motion. The extra weight of the Club 38 allows you to feel where the club "should" be as opposed to where you are currently manipulating the club to go. :) Let us know how it goes!

Golf Nutrition

I am in good shape and just do not understand why I can not focus in my round of golf after 12 or 13 holes. It is like I just flat run out of energy.

Obviously, past your doctor saying that all is ok, I would suggest you look at what you are eating prior and during your round. Here is an article that may help. Read More
